Laneways CommissionsFor the past four years, Megafun has undertaken the task of installing the many and varied artworks that temporarily adorn Melbourne’s unique laneways. The range of contemporary artwork includes video installations, sculpture and kinetic installations. The works need to be installed with minimum interruption to Melbourne's working CBD and survive the rigours of the external city environment.Megafun works closely with prominent national and international artists, local authorities, business and the public to modify the lanes and byways of Melbourne.

Scar - A Stolen Vision
Scar - A Stolen Vision was an indigenous public art installation initially presented in the City Square before moving to the grassy banks of the Yarra near the Melbourne Aquarium.
The work is a series of 30 giant timber poles taken from old piers in the bay. They were each carved and sculpted by local indigenous artists, resulting in a spectacular forest of totems.
Megafun handled the management and oversight of the initial sculpting, plus arranged the installation, occupational health and safety, freight, liaison and engineering of the work, in both locations. Its continued striking presence on the banks of the Yarra is testament to the success of the project.
